About Me
10th February 2006:
I have been collecting diecast toys (Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox...in fact most brands of old diecast) for some years. I came to realise pretty early how rare it is to find an original boxed diecast in good condition and at an affordable price. I had gotten hold of 'reproduction' boxes and packaging but although this was affordable it was usually pretty substandard. This lead me to think that instead of whining why not try to do better? After several years of hard work on this subject and experiments with materials and print methods I have finally arrived at the stage I am now.
This site contains sample photos of some of the boxes I now produce plus lists which are being constantly added to. I have around 1500 boxes covering several brands of diecast toys so far. I am very pleased with the end product and they look so convincing when put amongst my originals.
I created this website so you could take a look, seems a shame that after all this my work should be seen only by friends and family who visit. The website will be growing all the time and I am adding other features like the diaorama page and the 60's nostalgia pages so that there is a little something for everyone. Don't forget to add me to your favourites so you can come back over and over. Thanks for paying me a visit and all I ask from you is that you take a few seconds to sign my guestbook. Please enjoy your time on my website.
10th Jan 2007:
Well, having just completed my workshop I am now entering into the world of restorations and Code 3 so will soon be adding 'before & after' photos on the site, keep checking in for that.
If anyone visiting this site feels they could assist me by making offers to send scans of original boxes, via pre-arranged email, I would be prepared to send a ready made template of one of my boxes that you don't have as a swap. If your interested in this idea contact me on the link below.
